If you re doing a wet application with an acrylic adhesive vinyl you should be prepared to wait a while before removing the transfer tape.

Application fluid is not required for application to interior walls unless a glossy finish has been applied to the wall. Simply place a strip of the film you are about to apply in a cup of water let it sit for 30 60 seconds and then pull it out. If kodak photo flo is unavailable a small amount of dish detergent may be substituted. The adhesive won t wet out or bond with the substrate as quickly as usual.

Because acrylic adhesives are water based they weaken more when exposed to application fluid. If the adhesive is still clear then you will most likely be ok going forward with a wet application. 1 drop of dishwashing soap in 1 cup of water. It would be handy but not necessary to place the mixture in a spray bottle.

Mix 1 pint of isopropyl alcohol with one half gallon of distilled water.
